Rose Medical Center was established by Denver's Jewish community in 1949 as the nation's first privately sponsored, post-World War II hospital. The facility gradually expanded to 420 beds and attracted primary care physicians and specialists from nearly every field of medicine. Today Rose is recognized for its clinical research; prevention and treatment programs; sports medicine, including a nationally renowned joint replacement program; and comprehensive women's and children's health services.
General oncology service is offered with special emphasis on breast cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Rose also has an ABBI system enabling surgeons precise, yet minimally invasive breast biopsies.
